INCLUSION & ACCESSIBILITY
Team's values
The organizers are dedicated to do their best to create a space that is free of: gendered discrimination, queerphobia, transphobia, ableism, psychophobia, racism and sex shaming. We also aim to free the ways we play and organize from the performance culture and the effects of capitalism.
We recognize that these are goals to reach for. We try to educate rather than punish poor behaviors, to the best of our abilities and with the energy we have, unless it is obvious that the person intends to be harmful. The team is also not perfect and is willing to admit their own problematic behaviors.
Note on racism : we treat ordinary racism and racist biases the same way we would treat racist insults, by addressing it as something just as severe. Everyone is racist. Also, racialized people don’t owe you education and asking them “is this racist?” unprompted is never ok.
If you are not ready to listen and to look at your own biases, know that you might feel uncomfortable in this space. White guilt will not be actively accommodated by the team.

Details on accessibility
The castle has stairs. They are rather low and easier to navigate compared to modern stairs. The staircase is really large, several people can navigate it upfront. There is a rope against the wall to hold onto.
There are two important floors that all players must be able to reach. It takes 5 stairs to reach the first floor, then 21 from the first to the second. There are wc on both floors but the showers are on the second. The routines are designed to avoid going up and down the stairs too many times a day.
Many scenes will happen in the chapel and in a barn. Both are in the court. The chapel is very close to the castle. There is around 50 metres between the castle and the barn. The safe room is in that same barn. The ground of the court is made of gravel and mostly even.
The garden’s ground is also even and easy to walk.
Mobility & Accessibility
The venue we have chosen for the larp is not very accessible. It cannot welcome people in wheelchairs and it is challenging for someone with important mobility issues.
On the last day of the larp, the lights will change and you will be playing with a very low level of lighting for at least a day.
Please note that the physical parts of the “player pressure” (see details here) are not mandatory and we will do our best to accommodate any player that wishes to play despite the venue’s limits. You should just be aware that depending on your expectations, it could impact your enjoyment of the larp as you will not be experiencing it the way we designed it - we don’t mind, it’s all about your decision!
Also, when we say “we will accommodate your needs” we mean that together, we will look for ways for you to enjoy the larp just as much as everyone else and to participate in as many activities as possible; and that we will listen if you tell us to stop.
Reminder: accessibility is also every player’s responsibility. Acting like accommodating someone’s needs is a bother to you is not ok. Making someone feel like they are too much or like they are hindering your larp experience is not ok.

Other types of needs
Calm spaces will be accessible before and after the game. Workshops will be facilitated in a caring way and there will be many breaks. During the game, we encourage you to use the safe room whenever you want to, even if you are not in distress and just start to feel overwhelmed.
If you have any further questions regarding accessibility, if you need any more details or if you want to discuss with us about your potential sign up, please go ahead.
Actions for diversity and financial accessibility
Racialized people will have priority regarding tickets. One secured sponsored ticket is also reserved for them.
One secured sponsored ticket is reserved for queer people.
The number of other sponsored tickets and their pricing will depend on the number of sponsor tickets and on the amount of donations.
There will be an optional question in the form asking if you are part of a gender minority, queer and/or disabled. You absolutely don’t have to answer that question, but it will help us create diversity in the larp’s casting and allow us to give the reserved sponsored tickets
